Last week(week16), influenced by news of easing tensions in the Middle East, prices for crude oil and commodities, especially raw materials for the rubber industry, generally declined, such as butadiene, natural rubber, and ordinary butadiene rubber. However, some specialty commodities, due to previous structural supply shortages, remained at high prices; for example, bromobutyl BB2030 and EPDM J-4045 even continued to rise.

This week, due to reports over the weekend that peace talks had broken down and the ceasefire agreement had failed, the futures market may continue to rise. Structural inventory shortages may persist until May.
